School officials at Stanhope Stater weren’t mad or surprised that our undefeated and National American Conference (NAC) Champion Watermelon Warriors didn’t get invited to play in the College Football Playoff.
However, we received a plethora of invites to quality bowl games that will surely be a great reward for our team to celebrate another great season. After we counted how much money we’ll get for the beer cans in the back of the team pickup truck for gas money to travel to a bowl game… we found that we have enough to go back to the Kringla Bowl presented by Jewell Market, powered by Stanhope Locker & Market!!
Here’s the plan, we’re playing a rematch of the Golden Casserole Dish Trophy game from Thanksgiving (we won again 35-33 btw). AND since we have room on our buses, we’ll pick up our archrivals to the east, Jewell Lutheran College, along the way for the bowl festivities!
As you may have heard… the game is sold out BUT, we have our own school allotment, and we attached a ticket to the game on each one of these limited edition Kringla Bowl shirts!
