Around here, wrestling roots run deep and legend has it, played a roll in deciding which town you go to renew your vehicle tags in Hamilton County. In the late 1850s, Webster County was going to be split into two conties (Webster and Hamilton) and there would be a need for a new county seat for Hamilton County.
In a true pro-wrestling story line, local lore has it there was a wrestling match to decide which town that would be the county governmental center between Homer and Webster City.
