Way before there was Watermelon Day Parade entries... way before there were homecoming tailgates or dances... and way even before real-life hockey league championships... there was a drawing in a sketch book.
In the early 1990s, there was a kid who was bored drawing real things for his assignments in Mr. Lovell's art room. So he started making them up.
What would a university around here be?
What's the nickname?
What would it look like?
In that weekly sketchbook assignment, Stanhope State University came to life. Then as they say, the rest was history... or maybe folklore?
Amongst our many transitions in 2025, we came across the original, first sketch of the whole idea. As we near our 10 year anniversary of this website, we had to bring this tough Stanhope kid original mascot back for a shirt with a little updated vibes.

Our goal is to have a quality item but use few different brands to achieve this outcome.
ADULT SIZING: All shirts are standard unisex sizes, unless specified in the listing.
YOUTH SIZING: Here's the breakdown by size and numbers:

- M -- 10-12
- L -- 14-16
- XL -- 14-16

MATERIALS: Solid colors are generally 100% cotton and heather colors are a variation of cotton/polyester blends.
PRINTED IN IOWA, BY US! Yep, that's right. We print every single shirt with smiles in house to keep our prices as competitive as possible!

We do our best to make sure the image on the product listing is identical to the image you order, however small variations in color can and will occur.
